Let´s brew a great beer. Dr. T. Voigt of the TUM Weihenstephan shows you how.
The world of Beers is yours. Get ingredients for unlimited selection of beers at your local homebrew shop or at BRUMAS.
Start the BrauEule and use the predefined brewing program or enter your own recipe.
Add water simply by pouring, there is no water connection necessary.
The beautifully designed copper hood is closed for airtight steam production
The crushed malt is poured into the lautering tun.
Water is added.
Mashing starts and is controlled automatically by the machine controller of the BrauEule. Stirring is done through bubbles. For you this means approximately 3 hours of spare time.
When the mashing is finished the machine starts to beep. Water is coolded down to 78 ° C for perfect sparging.
Lautering is started simply by placing the steam hose into the boiling tun. The wort starts running, the first few litres can be recycled for a perfectly clear wort.

Use the put aside water for sparging. This increases your output.
Add hops in the form of pellets. If you are using flowery hops or other ingredients in large pieces, you need to use a hop boiling bag.

Start the automated boiling process.
Add further hops to your own specifications.
After boiling the strength of the wort is measured with an included hydrometer. The strength of the final beer can be adjusted now.

The beer is fermented according to the recipe. This takes one to two weeks.

The beer is bottled either in bottles, kegs or barrels.
The bottles are closed. Now starts the difficult part of waiting for the right time to drink it. It takes usually between 3 to 8 weeks.
